Narrabri former registered nurse Ros Houguet was interested to read in Thursday’s Courier that chemotherapy treatment will be available at Narrabri Hospital from mid next year. “Chemotherapy has been administered in Narrabri in the past,” Mrs Houguet said.“In the late 1960s or early 70s some patients were given chemo here,” she said. And as recently as 18 years ago, she said, with an out of town oncologist authorising the treatment.
