Narrabri residents have again entered the spirit of Christmas with many decorated houses brightening the streets for the festive season with some spectacular displays, all in the Christmas spirit.

Many households joined in the traditional lighting celebration.

The judges of the Christmas Lights Competition, Narrabri Lions, inspected each entry on Sunday night .

“Judging was difficult” said Lion Darrell Anderson and after much deliberation the judges chose Jenny Wilson’s 15 Saunders Street home as the winner.

Jenny receives a $100 cash prize from the Lions. Jenny is generously donating her prize to the NSW Cancer Council. Jenny thanked her neighbour Michar Fox for his help and expertise in setting up the fantastic display which filled the front garden and the footpath with light and colour.

The Courier’s People’s Choice winner was Sarah Jones at 46 Dale Street and Sarah wins $100 cash from The Courier.

“After the year we have had I thought it would be great if we can make someone’s life brighter with our display” Sarah said.

It was another closely contested result. Sarah has synchronised her lights display to 10 music tracks – tune to 98.0 on your radio to hear the music when you see the display.
