On Monday night, the Narrabri VRA was tasked to rescue a motorist stranded between two flooded creeks, 60 km towards Bingara. The VRA sent a team to investigate and they got to Bobiwaa Creek just below Sawn Rocks and couldn’t get any further. The crew would have had to negotiate seven or eight creek crossings to reach the stranded motorist. “People need to be aware that the flooded creek or crossing they have just got through might not be anywhere near as deep as the one you are coming up to,” advises the VRA. Emergency services are constantly warning motorists not to drive through floodwaters.
