The picture of the award- winning silo murals at Yelarbon recalled some memories for local transport legend Lex Gordon. “For about 30 years I operated trucks from my depot at Yelarbon, just across the road from the silos,” said Lex. It was only about two years ago he sold the depot land to Goondiwindi Shire Council which has developed a park and highway rest spot at the site.
