The Rotary Club of Narrabri paid tribute to servicemen and women at a commemorative Anzac dinner at the RSL on Thursday night.
Incoming president of the service organisation, Darrell Tiemens, welcomed Narrabri RSL sub-branch president Gary Mason OAM to the annual Rotary commemoration.
Mr Mason delivered a moving talk about Anzacs and their dedication.
He was joined at the meeting by other members of the RSL and local ex-service personnel.
Also attending the night of remembrance was Boggabri RSL president Steve Eather.
Before dinner was enjoyed by those who attended the commemoration, a minute’s silence was held followed by the Last Post.
Tricia Hadley, who is involved with both the RSL sub-branch and Rotary, recited the prayer of thanksgiving and prayer of the nation.
Mr Tiemens thanked Mrs Hadley for her efforts in organising the dinner.
Following the meal, a fine session was held with proceeds raised going to the RSL sub-branch.
The night concluded with Kaitlin Barnes peforming the national anthem on the clarinet.
