A NSW parliamentary road safety committee has launched an inquiry into the mobile speed camera program. Revenue from mobile speed camera fines has increased dramatically this year, with $6.33 million raised in March, $4.75 million raised in April and almost $15 million total in 2021. Since introducing the new initiative in November, the government has raised almost $24 million. The inquiry was signed-off on by a broad cross section of MPs including Liberal Wendy Lindsay, Nationals’ Stephen Bromhead and Member for Barwon Roy Butler, Shooters, Farmers and Fishers Party.
