I agree about the need for flowers and shrubs in Maitland Street. We have a great new main street, but the job is only half done when we have so much concrete. We should have colourful flowers and shrubs at the roundabouts and in the median strip. Plenty of other towns have done this and results are impressive. Others have suggested planter boxes at various places along the footpath. We are looking at footpath dining, which is fantastic, let’s go the little bit extra and make the CBD something really special.
