On Thursday, July 15, a warning was released regarding possible flooding for the Upper Macintyre, Gwydir, Namoi and Peel Rivers.
The SES released a statement saying minor flooding is a possibility, according to data from the Bureau of Meterology.
A series of troughs approaching from the southwest of New South Wales is expected to bring moderate rainfall to the south-western and north-western NSW.
Rainfall has been observed since Wednesday, July 14, and is expected to continue through to Saturday, July 17.
Catchments are relatively wet from recent rainfall, and Water NSW commenced pre-releases on July 6 to provide some flood mitigation capacity.
As the weather system moves east, it may cause local and riverine flooding.
