‘’Three fierce magpies have staked their claim to a section of the riverside shared pathway,” a correspondent tells Topical. “I was swooped several times on Monday afternoon in the area near the Narrabri Creek bridge but fortunately had my bike helmet on when his beak hit me.” Others have reported magpies are right into the swooping season over the weekend. “I have one in my backyard who I thought was my friend over the past few years but even he swoops me,” a resident reported.
