The price of aluminium has risen – perhaps because more people are staying at home in COVID lockdowns and drinking more beer. Hence demand for aluminium cans has risen and the price of beer cans has gone up! (There also has been a coup in Guinea, a major bauxite producing country, which has disrupted supply of the raw materials, but the beer consumption reason seems more plausible…)
