Gerard Sutton will referee his fifth straight NRL grand final since 2017 (the seventh of his career) when the South Sydney Rabbitohs play the Penrith Panthers in Queensland on Sunday. Gerard, formerly of Coonabarabran, was also a sports journalist at The Courier in the late 1990s.
