Could panic buying at supermarkets finally be at an end? That is the prediction of Brad Banducci – the man who oversees the Woolworths Group. The boss of the supermarket giant, speaking to media, said the company was preparing for its sales to return to normal levels as Australia enters its new phase of COVID normal. Among his comments, reported by the Sydney Morning Herald, Banducci said the supermarket giant expected to see shopping habits normalise and the concept of panic buying come to an end. The group’s department store, Big W, saw its sales plummet as a result of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
