Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton has visited Narrabri and Gunnedah to assess the flood damage after the heightened Namoi River wreaked havoc across parts of the North West.
Mr Coulton met with Narrabri Shire Council mayor Ron Campbell and general manager Stewart Todd on Friday.
Earlier in the day, Mr Coulton surveyed flood damage in Gunnedah with mayor Jamie Chaffey and deputy mayor Rob Hooke.
“Both towns have a big clean-up underway, but it was good to see the sun shining today drying things out, and allowing farmers to get back into their paddocks to salvage what they can,” Mr Coulton said in a social media post last Friday.
