The general manager of Narrabri Shire Council Mr Stewart Todd tendered his resignation at an Extraordinary Council Meeting held Tuesday March 22, 2022 which Council accepted during the confidential session, said a media statement released by NSC.
In the statement, Narrabri Shire Council mayor Ron Campbell thanked Mr Todd for his dedication and service to the Narrabri Shire over the last six and a half years.
“There have been many achievements in Stewart’s tenure; our Northern NSW Inland Port, the announcement of the Narrabri Special Activation Precinct, upgrades to community facilities right across the Shire including CBD’s, parks, playgrounds as well as the completion of several critical infrastructure projects that will benefit our Shire for years to come.
“A special mention should be made of the 2018 Bluett Award which Council was recognised as the most progressive rural Council in the state.
“Under Stewart’s leadership, Council has been placed in an enviable position to take advantage of the diverse economic opportunities we have been presented with.
“I wish Stewart the very best for the future and thank him for being a driving force behind many of the opportunities we see in our Shire now and into the future.”

“Mr Robert Ball has been appointed Acting General Manager as Council commences the recruitment process to appoint a new General Manager.
“Mr Ball has vast experience in local government and was the General Manager of Hornsby Shire Council for 19 years. We welcome Robert to Narrabri Shire.”
