The crowd at a recent Women’s Week and Small Business Month celebration left feeling inspired, energized, and motivated by a fabulous huddle of successful and generous women, and a brilliant line-up of guest speakers.
The empowering evening was held at The Exchange, Narrabri – formerly the site of Faulkner’s Cordial Factory and Ice Works at Maitland Street.
THRIVE Narrabri was hosted by the GRO Events Group and Josephine’s, in partnership with The Exchange, the event kicked off with Gamilaraay woman Helen Wenner delivering the Acknowledgement to Country beautifully.
Guests were then treated to a thought-provoking speech by public relations powerhouse Tory Archbold – an entrepreneur, chief executive officer, business coach and host of the Powerful Stories Podcast.
GRO Events Group director Dimity Smith chatted with an impressive panel of women including Australian Local Hero of the Year and Sober In the Country founder and chief executive officer Shanna Whan.
Shanna was joined on the panel by Yolande Woods – a grazier, interior designer and pilot who recently created Aerohart, a stylish range of aviation gear.
Inverell’s Edwina Mill also joined the panel.
Edwina is a pre-school teacher who pursued her passion for baking by launching the personalised biscuit brand Sprinkle and Bake.
Her business grew ‘almost overnight’ after it was featured on the Buy from the Bush social media platform.
