A 37-year-old man was charged in relation to an incident at a Nandewar Street home on March 27.
The man is alleged to have struck a victim. Police allege that the matter was ongoing for several days.
He was charged with intimidation and assault actually occasioning bodily harm.
Bail was refused and the man will appear in court on April 26.
Man alleged to have been in possesion of prohibited drug
A 48-year-old man was arrested after allegedly being found in possession of cannabis and suboxone.
The man was charged on March 17.
He was stopped by police and initially fled on foot from officers.
The man was located near a supermarket carpet and then arrested.
Police allege that he was in possession of 2.04 grams of cannabis as well as a quantity of suboxone.
He was conveyed to Narrabri Police Station and charged with by virtue of an outstanding warrant as well as two counts of possess a prohibited drug.
Bail was initially refused.
Man charged with malicious damage in Boggabri
A 26-year-old man was charged for malicious damage on March 20.
Police attended a Laidlaw Street address in Boggabri.
The man was also found to have failed to appear in court in accordance with bail.
He was conveyed to Narrabri Police Station.
Police investigating Wee Waa incident
Police are looking for a man in relation to a recent incident in Wee Waa.
The man is alleged to have been armed with intent.
He allegedly threatened a victim with violence while carrying a small axe and knife.
The incident occurred at an Empire Place property.
Man charged with common assault
A 27-year-old man has been charged with common assault in relation to a recent incident in Narrabri.
Police allege that an incident occurred at Gibbons Street continuing on to Dangar Street.
The alleged offender struck a victim.
Police reported that bystanders gathered and began yelling at the accused.
The man will appear in Narrabri Local Court on May 24.
Drink-driver to appear in court
A 73-year-old man has been issued with a court attendance notice in relation to a recent drink-driving incident.
The man, who crashed into the front of a Maitland Street home in February, was found to be driving while disqualified.
He has also been charged with negligent driving as well as mid-range drink-driving.
Following the incident, the man was conveyed to Narrabri Hospital by ambulance.
Police allege that subsequent blood alcohol testing returned a result of 0.125.
The man will appear in Narrabri Local Court on May 24.
Man charged for recent incident
A 33-year-old man has been charged with malicious damage in relation to a recent incident.
On March 21, an arrest warrant had also been issued for the man’s alleged breach of a community corrections order.
At 12.55pm on April 7, police observed a vehicle being driven by the man on Violet Street.
He was issued with an expiation notice for driving while unlicensed.
The man was also charged with by virtue of a warrant.
Bail was refused and he was expected to appear in court at a later date.
Alleged malicious damage in Wee Waa
A 49-year-old man has been charged for malicious damage after allegedly damaging a vehicle at a Boundary Street property in Wee Waa on March 27.
The accused is alleged to have picked up a pram and thrown it over a fence at a vehicle during an altercation.
He was granted bail to appear in Wee Waa Local Court on April 28.
Vehicle stolen from Balonne Street
A 17-year-male has been charged in relation to the theft of a vehicle from Balonne Street on April 4.
Police allege that a witness saw the male gain entry to the vehicle.
The vehicle was later sighted in Wee Waa where it was followed along the Kamilaroi Highway.
The vehicle ran out of petrol and the male stopped on the side of the road.
Three witnesses alighted in front of the stranded vehicle and chased down the alleged offender.
The male was later arrested and taken to Narrabri Police Station.
He was later released and will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
Police urge caution over online marketplace scams
Police are urging people to be cautious when engaging with people on online marketplace websites and platforms.
It follows a recent incident where a person engaged with someone on a website in relation to a rental property.
The person supplied identity documents online.
It was later discovered that the property advertised was not owned by the person trying to lease it out online.
As a result of inquiries, it was found that the victim’s identity could have potentially been stolen.
Following the incident, police have encouraged people to show caution with online interactions on marketplace websites. People particularly need to show caution when it comes to sharing identity information.
Air conditioners stolen from Queen Elizabeth Drive
Air conditioning units were stolen from a Queen Elizabeth Drive property between March 28 and 29.
The three units, all Daikin models, were stolen from a home under construction.

Police seek information on park burn-outs
Police are seeking information from the community in relation to damage at Dangar Park, Wee Waa.
People are alleged to have done burn-outs at the park between 11pm on April 6 and 5am on April 7.

Vehicle stolen from Cowper Street
An unknown person forced entry to a Cowper Street home in Wee Waa between 11pm on March 23 and 6.55am on March 25.
Two sets of keys and a white Holden Commodore were stolen.
The vehicle was later located on a dirt and recovered.
The vehicle will be subject to forensic analysis.
