The murderous Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has run into courageous resistance from the Ukrainian people, despite his deliberate attacks on civilians designed to cow the population and break the Ukrainians’ spirit. It is generally accepted that Putin wants to subdue the Ukrainians in time for him to celebrate the 1945 surrender of Nazi Germany on May 9. He is committing the same atrocities as did the Nazis, which makes the May 9 celebration a little ironic to say the least, particularly in light of his bizarre claims to be ‘fighting Nazis’ in Ukraine.
