The doors are re-opening for businesses and services as the pandemic closures recede.

Narrabri Health Services kiosk, a much-valued service for patients, staff and visitors at the hospital, is being prepared for re-opening by Narrabri Hospital Auxiliary volunteers.

The kiosk closed when the wholesale COVID-19 shutdowns across the community took place two years ago.

“But now we are planning to be back,” said auxiliary treasurer Neurelle McTaggart.

“We are doing an inventory of products we will need to get underway again and should have everything ready to re-launch by mid-July,” Mrs McTaggart said.

The re-opening of the kiosk will be an event tinged with sadness as auxiliary members remember the role of long-term president the late Sally Alexander, a tireless worker for the voluntary organisation, who passed away in Janaury.

Mrs Trish Hadley has accepted the position of auxiliary president.
