Planning for the business community’s night of nights, the Whitehaven Coal Narrabri Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, has ramped up with nominations now open for the September 3 gala evening.

This year’s awards ceremony features 16 categories, celebrating the achievements of local businesses and their employees.

“It really is a great night. It is always a sell-out,” said chamber president Russell Stewart.

“Attendance this year is capped at 300. The dinner is highly subsidised by our chamber members.”

Tickets for the three-course dinner at The Crossing Theatre are also available as of this week.

The gala awards evening is set to make a triumphant return this year following two disrupted COVID years.

“We want this year’s awards dinner to be better than ever,” chamber president Russell Stewart said.

“Our local businesses deserve a great night of recognition after drought, mice and the pandemic.”

In addition to a three-course meal at The Crossing Theatre, awards night tickets also include a four-hour beverage package.

Tickets cost $88 for chamber members and $98 for non-members.

Mr Stewart said ticket prices were almost half of the actual cost.

This is thanks to the support of generous sponsors and chamber members.

Guest speaker for the business awards will be NSW Minister for Finance and Small Business Damien Tudehope.

Nomination forms have been distributed to various local businesses and are also available on the chamber’s website.
