The Narrabri Women’s Bowling Club’s 2022 consistency singles competition continued last week, with six matches played across Thursday and Saturday at Narrabri Bowling Club.

Three of the four games scheduled for Thursday were contested after Sue Solomon received a forfeit from Eva Sadler.

Those matches saw Debbie Gleeson outscore Lyn Wedesweiler 150-100, Heather Caton down Di Chessells 150-133, and Marie Redman defeat Janet Coleman 150-136.

Three more matches were played on Saturday.

Ronnie Dewar downed Janice Foxe 150-112, Kay Carolan defeated Lyn Tuckey 150-129, and Lorraine Scott downed Cecile 150-84.

In two consistency singles quarter-finals on Thursday, August 27, Marie Redman will meet Ronnie Dewar (marker – Glennis Godden), and Heather Caton will take on Debbie Gleeson (marker – Eva Sadler).

The other two quarter-final games will be played this Saturday, August 27, when Lorraine Scott challenges Sue Solomon (marker – Lyn Wedesweiler) and Cindy Neil takes on Kay Carolan (marker – Janet Coleman).

Meanwhile, ladies’ social bowls was played last Thursday.

Rhonda Fitzgerald and Kay Carolan defeated Carolynne Tomlinson and Berice Eather 21-12, and Gloria Campey and Glennis Godden downed Yvonne Hardman and Janice Foxe 21-10.

Social bowls will be played again this Thursday.
