Faber Sheetmetal is the winner of the 2022 Whitehaven-Narrabri Chamber of Commerce Manufacturing/Industrial Agribusiness award.

The capacity audience at the business awards presentation on September 3 applauded the announcement of the achievement, another milestone recognition of the company’s status in the community.

Faber’s is a continuing Narrabri family business success story, and with its wide market reach, projects not only the company name through its products, but the name of ‘Narrabri ‘right across Australia.

Faber’s serves customers locally, regionally and nationally.

Thirty eight years ago, the late Ray Faber began his own business in Narrabri, Ray Faber Sheet Metal, and not long after that he began to make Faber toolboxes, a product which is nowadays marketed around the region, in far flung corners right across Australia and overseas.

Faber’s is a major employer – over 38 years the company has employed more than 500 people and trained around 150 tradesmen and women including training 120 apprentices locally.

Faber has continued to grow over the years, nowadays under the stewardship of owner and director Robyn Faber and Geraldine Faber, the company managing director following Ray’s passing.

Now in its 38th year and with the new focus on Australian manufacturing, the company is looking forward to further development across its range of metal fabrication and powder coating businesses from its Francis Street premises.
