Bryce Guest is passionate about the spectacular sights and scenery our North West NSW region offers and is enthusiastic about sharing the view from the air from aboard his helicopter.

Bryce operates Northwest Helicopters and is the winner of the 2022 Whitehaven Coal-Narrabri Chamber of Commerce Business Award for Tourism.

He has taken many locals and visitors on many flights across the region.

“Our fantastic scenery and attractions are the equal of anywhere in Australia” Bryce says.

He has combined his love of flying with his love of our district attractions.

Bryce took delivery of his four-seat Robinson helicopter in March 2020 and his services to local and visiting tourists, plus farmers and corporate customers, has kept him busy.

“There are many parts of the region I love and I love being able to show them to locals and visitors from the air” he said. “It is incredible going to new areas and showing people what we have got.”

Customers can board the helicopter in Narrabri district or be picked up in the area – Pilliga Pottery is a popular starting point.

Bryce can take sightseers to the most inaccessible and rugged views in the Nandewar ranges’ hidden valleys and out to the plains.

Visitors can see places which can’t be reached by any roads.

Tourists board the comfortable Robinson helicopter for flights to the Warrumbungles and out to Lightning Ridge and the Macquarie Marshes. The Narran Lakes are the equal of anything Kakadu has to offer.

“We see the fantastic bird life, the wildlife, the scenery from the air, and we land and meet and talk to the people who lead interesting lives at Pilliga Pottery or Walgett or Lightning Ridge opal mines.”

Bryce’s passengers are about 50 percent local and 50 percent from outside the district.

“We get many Sydney visitors, customers from everywhere – I like to show tourists the kind of places that I would like to see.

“I have seen a fair bit of Australia myself – I like people to see the fantastic sights we have got right here in the North West, on our doorstep, from the air.”
