Regular diners at Narrabri RSL Club’s Outback Shack restaurant and The Golfies’ Birdy’s Bistro are sharing the popular venues with many new faces every week.
The ever growing popularity of the two establishments is a testament to the great food and the ambience of both restaurants.
“We are very busy,” acknowledges Narrabri’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year, executive chef Will Brooks, operator of MWB Dining and Catering Services.
Will’s business, employing 20 kitchen and serving staff, creates the menus and prepares great food for about 1000 customers each week across the two venues.
The young entrepreneur brings youth and experience to the dining venues. He took over at the Outback Shack restaurant on January 1, 2020, after three years honing his culinary skills as sous chef working with chef Daniel Gillmore, with experience also gained at the Civeo kitchens.
Will’s success in operating the two venues sees him and his team busier every day, providing lunch and dinner seven days a week at the Outback shack and dinners on Friday and Saturday, plus Sunday breakfasts at the Golfie and catering for functions and conferences.
Will would like to recruit about five more staff, to meet growing demand from diners, but like other business operators, is finding that a challenge.
The Young Entrepreneur of the Year has created his own success in his home town.
The son of Michael and Karen Brooks, Will was born and raised in Narrabri and shares the vision of exciting times ahead for his community.
