Since moving to Narrabri, we have received so much help from family and friends.
Major tasks such as cleaning up the yard and helping start new front gardens – even perfect strangers have offered help with grocery shopping.
One act of kindness really stands out – a group of us were having a birthday lunch for our son’s Godmother.
As a small cake topped with a sparkler was brought out, we all sang ‘happy birthday’.
What happened next, blew us away!
The waitress came over and told us that a young man sitting behind us had paid for our lunch.
We don’t know who the man was, and naturally, the waitress wouldn’t tell us – he had gone by the time she told us, and as we hadn’t taken any notice of who else was dining there, we didn’t see him.
This was an unbelievable ‘act of kindness’ from a perfect stranger and will never be forgotten.
It certainly made our day – thank you so much, whoever you are – you are a remarkable young man.
