The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by New South Wales Ambulance at 11.25pm on Friday night to carry out an urgent inter-hospital medical transfer from Wee Waa Hospital to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.
A 74-year-old man suffered serious leg fractures in a fall at his residence.
The man was stabilised and prepared for flight by the helicopter critical care medical team prior to being airlifted to Tamworth in a stable condition for further medical treatment.
