Nationals Upper House MP and NSW cabinet member Sam Farraway inspected improvements to the Narrabri Showground.
Mr Farraway, the Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, was in town for a regional freight forum at The Crossing Theatre.
Following the forum, Mr Farraway visited the showground to inspect upgrades, including new seating installed recently at the rodeo arena.
The new seating is one of several projects which is revitalising the grounds.
Among the works to take place include demolition and rebuilding of the horticulture pavilion, construction of a new cattle pavilion, additional disabled toilets, new arena lighting as well as other maintenance and upgrade works.
Across different funding programs, the NSW government has contributed more than $1.9 million in improvements to the grounds.
A state-of-the-art kitchen in the main pavilion is also among the improvements at the facility and has been well-utilised at the Narrabri Show since its completion.
Other upgrades at the showground have included a new caretaker’s house, showers, grandstand seating and works on the main arena.
