The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by New South Wales Ambulance just after 4pm on Sunday to carry out an urgent inter-hospital medical transfer from Wee Waa Hospital to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.
The helicopter critical care medical team stabilised a baby girl suffering from pneumonia and was airlifted to Tamworth in a stable condition for further specialist medical treatment.
The baby girl was also accompanied by her mother during the retrieval.
