The local market has edged higher today after marking time just above the August peak. Lower than expected US inflation figures overnight may indicate the top for interest rate rises is getting closer and we added four ASX 200 cfd’s to the portfolio. The late December traditional Christmas rally could see a new high. Time will tell.
The US Dow Jones index has moved up above the downtrend line and then retraced close to the breakout and if the classic move happens it will be moving higher. Can it overcome the fast-approaching resistance zone? Time will tell.
US Dow futures spike high and closed well down from that high on the day.
Another US index the Nasdaq 100 is still well below the downtrend line and shows weakness compared to the Dow Jones.
Life360 moved below one of our stop points and we sold half the position. The price is just holding above the trendline. Watching.
Dubber is moving higher and making higher highs.
Graphite junior Evolution Energy has moved out of a nice descending wedge pattern and we bought some for the educational portfolio near the close.
Challenger is close to moving out of the sideways pattern.
Integral Diagnostics has made a nice break higher and we bought a parcel today.
James Hardie could be forming a bottoming pattern.
Could Incitec Pivot finally move above the resistance zone?
A break above the twenty cent level could entice buyers into Red 5.
Credit Corp looks to be forming a bullish flag pattern.
Traditionally the 3rd year of the US presidential cycle is a positive one.
This chart from Stockcharts and Helixtrader shows that there could be significant gains over the next few years if the bullish run continues following a similar pattern.
