Sue Toop has handed over the role of Wee Waa Show patchwork steward to Denice Jackson as she prepares to make the move to Bingara.

Locals are familiar with Sue’s dedication to the Wee Waa community and mammoth volunteer efforts through many local organisations including the Lions Club and CWA.

“I’ve given 70 years to Wee Waa, I’m happy with what I’ve achieved, and I’ve really enjoyed my time here.

“I’m ready for a new challenge and a change of scene,” Sue told the Wee Waa News.

Sue will continue to support Denice at this year’s Wee Waa Show in August and the pair are encouraging people to enter the patchwork section, and add to the brilliant exhibition
displays which are always popular with visitors.

“I love the show, I’ve been going to the show since I was a little girl,” said Sue.

“I love seeing what everyone makes in the pavilion.”
