Exhibitions held throughout the shire as part of the annual CREATE Festival are proving a hit with local and visiting students.

Last week, Narrabri Public School’s high potential gifted education creative group was hosted at The Crossing Theatre exhibition by Narrabri Shire Council’s manager tourism cultural services Scott Pollock.

Mr Pollock toured students through the exhibition rooms and explained the Love is All in the Flutterby Hall installation in the auditorium.

In each exhibition room, students were asked to select their favourite exhibit and briefly talk about their interest in the item.

Mr Pollock explained the different forms of art being showcased as part of the display.

Students were also able to enjoy the works on display by Narrabri Public School art teacher Ms Lisa Marple.

Garah Public School students were also welcomed at CREATE festivities, visiting exhibitions at the Wee Waa Community Arts and Cultural Centre and The Crossing Theatre.

Students and adults alike have been captivated by the magical experience on offer as part of CREATE and this year’s theme of ‘flight’.

The annual arts event is in its third year and celebrates all things creative. It has been widely supported by the community since its inception.
