Narrabri Polocrosse Club’s carnival was a successful one for the Galloping Gully Polocrosse Club which did not have to travel too far to compete.

Gully, the neighbours of the carnival hosts, had five senior teams in action, and four junior and seven sub-junior players competed.

Gully’s Lacey Scott, Molly Cullen and Hugh and Fergus Hunter competed in the junior challenge, with Hugh’s team the Edenhope Stockhorses finishing as runners-up in the B-grade junior comp.

Gully’s under-12 players had a good weekend, with Fletcher Williams picked by NSW selectors to play under lights on Saturday night.

In the senior comp, Gully won the C-grade open and C-grade women’s divisions and was runner-up in the G-grade opens.

Senior players Hayden Grumley, Peter Meppem and Emma Campbell all picked up player awards.
