The Cubbaroo Polocrosse Club hosted its annual carnival at its home ground, the Wee Waa Showground on the weekend.

The carnival was described by club president Jeff Constable as “very successful”.

“It was a good weekend, it was very successful,” said Constable.

“We had 28 teams which is probably up on the numbers from last year.

“Everything ran well and there were no injuries. We’re looking forward to running it next year.”

Cubbaroo enjoyed team and individual success at its home carnival.

The club won the A-grade sub-junior, division and finished runners-up in the D-grade open and C-grade open divisions.

Several club players picked up player awards.

Billy Brodigan won B-grade juniors best number one, Carrissa Constable was named best number three in B-grade juniors, Michaella Wall earned the best number two prize in D-grade opens, and Tom Wilson was named best number two in the C-grade open competition.

C-grade open player Emily Brodigan won a major award, picking up the best Cubbaroo lady player of the carnival.
