A record number of nominations has set the scene for the biggest and most contested annual Narrabri Business Awards event ever.

A total of 803 nominations has been received in 16 categories covering the spectrum of local business enterprises large and small.

The Whitehaven Coal Narrabri Chamber of Commerce Business Awards event brings together virtually the entire Narrabri business community in a spirit of co-operation and shared endeavour.

Small businesses are meeting unprecedented challenges and the Awards Dinner is the opportunity for businesses to recognise their role, congratulate each other and for proprietors to thank staff and customers.

Chamber of Commerce president Russell Stewart urged people intending to attend the awards presentation dinner at The Crossing Theatre on Saturday, September 7, to book now.

“It is important to book early. This year we are closing bookings at 300 people” Mr Stewart said.

Bookings can be made at The Crossing Theatre.

A comedian, Kat Davidson, will be MC for the night and NSW Small Business Minister Damien Tudehope will be guest speaker.
