Narrabri Netball Association’s 2023 season resumed on Saturday as the mid-season holiday break came to an end.

Four of the seven senior games went ahead after three teams across the two competitions forfeited in round eight, but earlier in the day, all of the junior games were played.

In the A-grade division, The Flames’ sizzling season continued as they scored their fifth win in seven games to finish the weekend in third place on 10 competition points.

They downed All Nets 42-7 to stay in touch with the two teams ranked in front of them.

One of those sides is the top-ranked Tourist Tornadoes, which had a bye in round eight to finish the weekend on 12 points following six wins from as many matches before the break.

Fever are second on 10 points after they prevailed by forfeit against the Pharmacy Flamingos.

Hail Mary’s won their second game of the year but they too did not take the court after receiving a forfeit from Fever 2.0.

At the completion of round eight, All Nets (eight points) are ranked fourth, Hail Mary’s and Fever 2.0 (four points) are fifth and sixth, respectively, and the Flamingos are last on two points.

In B-grade, Hot Shots defeated the Wrecking Ballers 50-14, Golfie Grubs downed Firebirds 47-20, Baxter Babes beat Blue Diamonds 36-7, and Hairy GOATs prevailed by forfeit against the Wilga Warriors.
