A teenage boy was stopped by police on Dangar Street late last week and is alleged to have been in possession of a machete, gloves and a quantity of cannabis.
Covert police controls came across the boy in the early hours of the morning.
Further police inquiries into the matter are continuing.
Man arrested for vehicle theft, high speed pursuit
A Toyota Hilux was stolen from a Campbell Street home on Friday, August 18.
At 1am, the vehicle was captured on CCTV at a petrol station. The vehicle was later seen being driven erratically. A police pursuit took place.
The vehicle was involved in an accident near the intersection of Bowen and Balonne Streets.
During the pursuit, police allege the vehicle reached speeds of up to 154kmh on Culgoora Road.
The pursuit was terminated, however, the vehicle was sighted at 8.50am.
Spikes were deployed and the vehicle continued to be driven on a dirt track off the Kamilaroi Highway.
The vehicle was abandoned and police engaged in a pursuit on foot.
A 22-year-old man was charged with driving recklessly, police pursuit not stop, drive vehicle without consent and learner unaccompanied.
Bail was refused and the man will appear in court on September 26.
Woman charged for property offences
A 23-year-old woman has been charged in relation to recent property offences.
On August 10, fuel was stolen from a petrol station and captured on CCTV at 8.30am.
On August 12, at 11.30pm, CCTV captured the woman in the company of two others attempting to gain entry to premises on Boundary Street. The alleged offenders were disturbed by a vehicle.
Police allege the offenders were sighted at 11.45pm at a business on Williams Road, Narrabri, again captured on CCTV, searching through the property.
On August 13, the woman was arrested and charged with dishonestly obtain property by deception, two counts of entering closed lands and by virtue of a warrant.
Hillam Avenue break and enter
A 14-year-old boy will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act following his involvement in a recent break and enter.
On August 2, between 4.45pm and 10.52pm, unknown persons gained entry to a home on Hillam Avenue and stole keys, money and a vehicle.
At 10.52pm, a police pursuit was engaged and the vehicle later crashed in Gibbons Street. All occupants of the vehicle fled the scene.
Police were conducting inquiries in relation to the incident on the following day and attended a Narrabri address.
A young person was located, searched and discovered in possession of foreign currency.
