Narrabri Industrial Network has enjoyed a year of success in fostering strong networking connections among businesses and members.

The triumphs of the previous 12 months were shared at the organisation’s recent annual general meeting.

President Justin Smith said major events have been quite successful, with highlights including the establishment of Namoi Jobs and Trades Show and the Pink Up Namoi fundraiser, including the popular Pink Night under the Stars.

Following the success of the inaugural expo held last year, a second event was held in late July and again was a triumph.

This year’s event was held in conjunction with the network’s gala dinner, forming the Industry Connect Expo.

“We have also put the spotlight on agriculture, which has attracted new members and adjusted our focus beyond our key activities surrounding resources and infrastructure,” Mr Smith said.

“Though our focus has shifted this year, we have still ensured that we facilitate connections with stakeholders across NSW becoming a member of the Resources NSW, Energy and Resources Knowledge hub.

“This allows NIN to engage with industry, research institutes and government across NSW to drive innovation and growth for our region.

“Moving forward, our goal is to continue to establish a sustainable model for NIN, understanding that it may evolve with the influence of prominent regional projects. Our focus remains on long-term sustainability.

“We aim to further increase our membership and offer more capability building, training, and networking opportunities for our members, fostering even stronger engagement with stakeholders.”

Mr Smith said the network was excited to see business development manager Kodey Stanford move into a full-time role with the organisation. During the year, NIN has also established permanent office space at The Exchange.

Mr Smith was re-elected as president of NIN with other elected executive committee members including Stewart Todd (vice president), Mandy Brown (secretary), Emily Robinson (treasurer) and committee members Will Childs, Nick McClure and Bruce Hawkins.
