Donations to Education Foundation to be matched dollar for dollar in October

Since starting in 2003, the Country Education Foundation of the Namoi has supported the education and training pursuits of 223 students totalling almost $900,000.

The foundation’s ability to change the lives of students by supporting their education and career aspirations is made possible by the support of local businesses, organisations and individuals.

For the months of September and October, the national body, CEF Australia, has pledged to match every donation to a local foundation dollar for dollar up to $5000.

With just days left to reach target, now is the time to make a tax deductible donation to the Country Education Foundation of the Namoi.

“The Country Education Foundation of the Namoi was founded in 2003 with the purpose of supporting rural and remote youth access further education and realise their potential,” local branch chair Cara Stoltenberg said.

“Country Education Foundation’s local foundations across the country are run by community volunteers all with one thing in common – a passion for seeing rural and regional youth succeed.

“We depend on our community to raise funds to award grants to local students, who in turn can access additional support through our national office in the form of CEF scholarships and partner funding.

“We support youth aged 16 to 25 undertaking university degrees, TAFE courses or pursuing apprenticeships or traineeships.

“If you donate before October 31 your money will have double the impact and provide more support for the young people of our community.

“Any donation in these difficult times will be greatly appreciated, and directly awarded to young people in the community. CEF Australia is a registered not-for-profit (NFP) charity with

Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, therefore all donations are tax deductible.”
