Wee Waa High School’s new student leadership team has wasted no time picking up the reins from the outgoing captains and vice captains, while adding their own individual styles to the roles.
While the new captains will no doubt draw on the outstanding contributions of previous WWHS leaders for inspiration, the 2024 team look set to make their own mark. The new leaders include captains Megan Crutcher and Jackson Humphries and vice captains Lacey Evans and Chelsea Humphries.
After consultation earlier this year, it was decided by the school executive and P and C that from the recent election onwards, WWHS student leaders would be selected based on the four students that received the greatest support from students and staff, irrespective of gender.
Relieving principal Jacki Neil said she was “delighted with the new school leadership team and with how quickly they have stepped up into their new roles.
“From the leadership they are showing in the School Representative Council to getting involved in this year’s Lions Youth of the Year competition, they are proving to be good role models and invested in making a meaningful contribution to our school’.”
