Narrabri Shire’s Australia Day ambassador Clyde Campbell AM enjoyed a warm welcome to local festivities on Friday.

Mr Campbell joined the breakfast gathering in Wee Waa before attending the presentation of awards and naturalisation of new citizens in Narrabri later on Friday morning.

He also joined in on Boggabri’s festivities at the swimming pool.

Mr Campbell is the founder of the Shake It Up Foundation.

Shake It Up Australia Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2011 and in partnership with The Michael J. Fox

Foundation for Parkinson’s Research promotes and funds Parkinson’s disease research in Australia aimed at better treatments and ultimately a cure.

Prior to Australia Day, Mr Campbell was welcomed to the Rotary Club of Narrabri as a guest speaker on Thursday evening.

The Rotary Club of Narrabri agreed to support the Shake It Up Foundation through a donation of $2000, with generous donations by two Rotarians of $500 each, bringing the total to $3000.
