The Rotary Club of Narrabri is presenting a screening of the film ‘Giants’ as well as a talk with film producer Steven Rees, of Narrabri.

The event is a fundraiser for Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign and will be held at The Crossing Theatre on Thursday, March 21 from 6pm.

Directed by Sydney’s Eddy Bell, the film magnificently portrayed the hardships of a family struggling with implications of drought in rural Australia.

The movie was produced by Mr Rees and filmed at his parent’s property, ‘Murrumbilla’, the adjoining property also named ‘Murrumbilla’, which is the home of Bones and Jenny Falkiner, and the 50th Galloping Gully Polocrosse Club carnival.

The film was inspired by Mr Rees who co-produced the film and his conversations with ex-Armidale School buddy and director Mr Bell.

In conjunction with the CREATE festival, Rotary will be showing ‘Giants’, as well hosting a meet the ‘film producer’ event with Mr Rees.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience the exceptional CREATE Exhibition before it finishes.

Mr Rees will take attendees through the process of creating and producing this 15 minute short film.

The bar will be open and light refreshments will be served.

All profits go to Rotary International’s Polio Eradication program.

Tickets cost $30 for adults and $10 for students/pensioners. Tickets can be purchased online by tapping the advertisement below.
