A poignant tribute - memorial crosses bear the names of community members who served in wars. The Hatch family were among those who paid tribute on Thursday. World War II AIF serviceman Thomas William Hatch, who was a Japanese prisoner of war in Changi gaol, Singapore, for three and a half years is remembered on the memorial.
