The 2024 Senior and Junior Young Woman competition winners were announced at the official opening of the Narrabri Show on Friday night.
A large crowd gathered around the rodeo ring for the announcement by guest-of-honour and this year’s Sydney Royal Young Woman winner, Domonique Wyse, who officially opened the event.
Claudia Williams was named Senior Young Woman of the Year and Narrabri High School student Caitlin Evans was awarded Junior Young Woman of the Year.
Runner-up was awarded to Grace Smith in the senior category and to Chloe Large in the junior section.

Junior entrants also included Poppy Fuller, Elizabeth Faris, Jessie Simpson, Ava Smith and Anna Stuart.
The crowd cheered all entrants as they gathered in the rodeo ring with dignitaries and show officials.
The entrants showed poise and maturity and their community spirit was evident from their speeches throughout the competition.
The entrants were interviewed by judges at a private function before speaking publicly at the Narrabri Show’s recent cocktail function at The Exchange.
At the cocktail event, the entrants were interviewed by former Narrabri Showgirl and current committee member Bec Cope.
Young Woman competition head steward Samantha Coppin was thanked for her efforts in organising the competition.
The entrants were kept busy across the show weekend, working in various parts of the event.
The judging panel this year consisted of Domonique Wyse, Di Burtenshaw and Brad Graham.
