Four Year 8 Narrabri High School students travelled to Sydney to be part of the Future of Female Leadership forum, run by the Orbispace Initiative, a program created to address gender inequality in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) industry.

The students participated in workshops about communication and leadership, business modelling, and design thinking, learnt about emerging technologies such as VR/AR and the future of AI, and met with a number of industry mentors across different STEM fields.

Mentors included a digital designer from France, an environmental biologist from America, and the Orbispace founder Anna-Grace Millward.

Also on the itinerary was a walking tour of Sydney with the following STEM-related attractions: Sydney Observatory, Australian Museum and Royal Botanic Gardens. An unforgettable trip.
