Topical has been contacted by a Sydney man who would appreciate learning more about the late George Branscombe, a well-known Narrabri resident of many years ago. The caller, now 82, has recently learned of his family connection with Mr Branscombe and is naturally very keen to learn about his life in Narrabri, where he was an accomplished sportsman in cricket, tennis and golf. He served as a Narrabri Municipal Council Alderman, was owner of a wool and hides buying business and district BP fuel agent based in Narrabri.
