Australia is doing very well at the Paris Olympics but there are mutterings of unhappiness in some places. Apparently some athletes are complaining their access to beef and lamb is a bit limited by the caterers who favour more eco-friendly vegetarian tucker, and evidently the main pool for swimming events is not deep enough. Only one world record has fallen at the swimming, compared with six new world records set at Tokyo in 2021 and eight at Rio in 2018. The depth of the pool reportedly affects the effectiveness of the swimmers’ strokes.
