I have just cast my first ever vote in the local Narrabri election – up till now I have voted in the Walgett Shire, so it seems strange voting in the Narrabri election.
When I left Narrabri to live in Rowena after my marriage, I was too young to vote!
Life has come full circle and I’m back in Narrabri as a senior citizen after leaving as a teenager – although Narrabri has always been our shopping centre, so ties weren’t completely cut all those years.
All the best to all the candidates in Saturday’s election – hopefully whoever the voted in councillors are, they have the best interest of Narrabri at heart and Narrabri can continue to grow under their stewardship.
