It is not good for us to be alone

Ever since God made man, He said it is not good for us to be alone.

We were designed to be in relationship with each other.

Relationships are important for us to grow.

When we are in healthy relationships, we thrive and flourish.

The Bible teaches and shows us many ways our relationships can thrive.

The greatest commandments God gave us were to first love God, then love others.

Loving was not a consideration, it is compulsory. One way we show love is by giving.

Our culture today is all about getting; getting it quick, getting it easy and getting as much as we can.

Our relationships become what we can get from them, instead of what we can give to them.

This is pride, and pride will never make a relationship thrive.

Relationships breakdown when we put our desires over Gods design.

Even Christians can become prideful towards church and their relationship with God.

They attend church or follow God for what they can get, rather than what they can give.

Being a Christian is not about what you get from God, but what you can give.

And the greatest thing is that when we give our best to God, He gives His best back to us.

The greatest tool we have for a Godly and flourishing relationship is, Humility.

Putting the needs and wants of others above our own.

“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less” – CS Lewis

God wants us to be humble towards Him, and towards others.

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Ephesians 4:2

God showed us what humility was when He sent His own Son to earth to die for us.

His death was to bring us life.

So, with this life that we have access to through Jesus, lets do our best to bring life to all our relationships.

Let’s be life givers, not life takers in our relationships with all people.
