Narrabri West Public School celebrated the successful return of the school fete as hundreds of people packed the grounds for an evening of fun and delicious food.
The fete is a much-loved fundraiser for the school’s P&C and returned in spectacular fashion following its hiatus during COVID.
P&C president and fete coordinator Jenny Kirk described the atmosphere on Friday night as amazing.
“We had a really strong crowd and a good family atmosphere,” Mrs Kirk said.
For many in the West school community, it was their first experience of a fete.
While the success of the festivities exceeded organisers’ expectations, Mrs Kirk said the feedback from students and families had also been overwhelmingly positive.
“It’s such a great event that brings the entire school community together,” she said.
Community organisations also turned out in support of the festivities, as they did in the fete years prior to COVID.
The success of the fete is a testament to the school’s hard working staff and the proactive P&C.
Mrs Kirk thanked those who made the event an extraordinary success as well as the broader community for turning out in large numbers for the festivities.
