Jim Carrey is a Canadian born comedian and actor.

His early life had some challenges when his family became homeless which also led to financial struggles.

They lived out of a VW van and Jim with his brother spent months sleeping in tents.

When their father got a job in accounting, they were able to return to living in a house across the street from the factory their father worked, teenage Jim and his brother John would work as janitors and security guards at the tyre factory, doing eight-hour shifts from 6pm into the next morning.

He dropped out of school on his 16th birthday.

He began to perform comedy in downtown Toronto while continuing to work at the factory.

At the age of 21, Jim moved to Hollywood to try his luck in comedy and on TV and movies.

He has shared that he has suffered from depression in the past.

He revealed that as a struggling actor he would visualise what he wanted to achieve to get work.

He once wrote himself a cheque for $10 million for ‘acting services rendered’.

He placed the cheque in his pocket and over the next seven years, the cheque deteriorated and deteriorated until just before Thanksgiving 1995 he received a cheque for $10 million for his role in Dumb and Dumber.

To achieve what we want in life, we must visualise our reality.

There is a story in the Bible shared by Matthew, Mark and Luke about a woman who had suffered from bleeding for 12 years.

She had seen many doctors and spent all she had but never got any better, she only got worse.

“When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”

Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.” (Mark 5:27-29)

When Jesus realised what had happened “He said to her: “Daughter, your faith has healed you.

“Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” (Mark 5:34)

This woman visualised her healing and stepped out with faith to receive it.

If there is something you want to thrive in, in your life, start by visualising what it is you want to see.

Then step out in faith and believe God will provide.
