Whiddon Narrabri staff awarded scholarships

Whiddon property officer Bhanu Saru has been awarded a scholarship to pursue a Diploma of Facilities Management, allowing him to build on his five years’ of experience at Whiddon and advance his career.

“Throughout my time at Whiddon, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from my supervisors about creating a safe and comfortable environment for residents and colleagues.

“This course will help me professionally by equipping me with skills to manage risks, lead sustainable facility initiatives, and ensure safety across Whiddon homes,” Mr Saru said.

For Bhanu, excellence in care means providing a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

He takes pride in working closely with his supportive team to address residents’ needs, no matter how small, and making their day brighter.

Enrolled Nurse Dawson Anderson has been awarded a scholarship to pursue a Bachelor of Nursing, supporting his goal of becoming a Registered Nurse and providing best-practice care to residents.

“With encouragement from my colleagues and management, I applied for the scholarship to further my career.

“This opportunity enables me to continue learning and building relationships within aged care and my Narrabri community,” Mr Anderson says.

To Dawson, excellence in care means delivering compassionate, patient-centred support that prioritises residents’ emotional and physical well-being.
